mossie is a business that is working to give a new purpose to up-cycled materials. We believe there is a better way than fast fashion, name brands, and mass production. Let’s focus on uniqueness and take better care of our planet :)

paper

All of our paper is hand pressed from shredded paper that would have otherwise been thrown away. The process is tedious - shredding, soaking, blending, pressing, drying, then ironing every piece to achieve beautiful organic looking paper.

crochet

Our crochet projects are woven in a way machines can’t mimic, meaning every stitch is maticulously done by hand. All of the yarns used are also thrifted or reused! Meaning every project has a unique and random combination of cotton, wool, acrilic, polyester, and many other kinds of fiber.

sewing

Almost all of our projects include a bit of sewn craftsmenship. Whether that may be the lining of a crochet bag, or the cover of a hand-pressed paper journal. All the fabrics used in all of our items are of course thrifted or reused from old clothes, tablecloths, curtains, and scraps.

accessories

All of our threads, buttons, beads, and zippers are thrifted and upcycled too! And mossie never wants to set limitations to what we can create. Plushies, pillows, hats, gloves, coasters, and anything else you could think of are all in question! Our main goal is to use our thrifted supplies in a way that make the materials stand out more than anything else — that’s how we create one-of-a-kind pieces <3

Regardless if our clothes are crocheted or sewn, we want our collection to be as inclusive as possible. Meaning we do our very best at designing clothes that are completely adjustable and are one-size-fits-all. No matter your size, age, gender — every human body is BEAUTIFUL, and we want our brand to accentuate that :)
